I'm putting this on my blog just so that I won't forget it.
When Karl and I were at the airport in Beijing for our flight to Wuhan, there was a group of young men sitting near us. I love people watching, so I was happy to have a somewhat large group of teenagers/young adults to sit and watch--especially because they were Chinese and I was fascinated by their language and what they wore. :o) Soon after they came, two teenage girls came and sat across from us. They were VERY giggly and whispering back and forth to each other. They were very cute. I could tell that they were very interested in the boys. I then saw them take out a pen and paper and one of them went and asked for an autograph. It was at this point that I became even more interested in them...wondering who they were.
We got on the plane and I soon forgot about them...caught up in the fact that I was flying to the city where I would meet my darling girl!!
After we got off the plane, we saw the boys again. We were walking just ahead of them. As we neared the section of the airport just outside of security, we could hear the screaming girls. :o) Lots of screaming girls with flowers and posters...and they weren't waiting for us! :o)
We found out that this was the group HIT 5.
Here is a video I found of them. Enjoy! :o)

Oh how fun!!
You should've asked for an autograph just in case ..LOL!
I am CRACKING UP! Billy says he would like to take a paint ball gun and hunt them down... On the softer side I am thinking I just need to get one of those gloves for when we lead worship. Too funny! Loved it! They were able to put the styles of Manilow, Spears, and even add in some rap with both english and mandarin languages all into 4 minutes! Wow!
How cool is that. That will probally be Karleigh Meis favorite group and she will wonder why you did not take their picture and get their autograph. Good job mom:)
That's so funny! I remember you telling us that story and wondering what kind of "stars" they were. Just a fun part of your adoption story to someday share with KM! :)
What I love is that when they are singing in Chinese, the subtitles are in Chinese..and when they sing in English the subtitles are in English. Ha ha!
Oh hilarious - they are beautiful!! I loved watching the Chinese Music Videos in CHina (like there was much else to watch!)
That is just hilarious! I'm totally cracking up at you! My pastor's wife loves George Clooney and in the Summer of '07, we were in Italy and went through the town where he has a home. She was pining away and we teased her the whole trip. Then our last day, at the airport, he walked right by us. It was so funny! But the sad part was, she was like 15 minutes behind us and never got to see him. Trying to convince her it was him was hilarious. But, it was indeed. We didn't attempt any autographs either. Another time, I totally bumped into Ethan Hawke in the Johannesburg, SA airport. I turned to say "sorry" and gasped. Then my dad walks over and asks him if he is who I said he was. What a dork! "Uh, yeah. I'm Ethan Hawke." "Alrighty then." So funny. I guess it pays to be in foreign airports! :D
Wonderful pictures of Karleigh Mei in the past posts. You are right. She is a beautiful girl. How great that she is part of your family.
Too funny! My hair used to be cut like one of them--how sad is that! What a great memory.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JENN!!
