What's Happening 'Round Here?

We are getting a puppy! We are all pretty excited about our new furry little friend! She's a mix between terrier/schnauzer/poodle.

Isn't she so cute!? She's only 5 days old in this picture, when we went to visit her on Wednesday. We are trying to come up with a name for her. So far Lola and Olive are our top choices. Any suggestions!?

Karleigh Mei with our newest little best friend!

Karleigh Mei tried to convince us that she was big enough to not have to sit in her carseat.

And her response when we told her she wasn't quite big enough yet! :) (Seriously, under the new laws I'm wondering if she will EVER be big enough! HA!)

After seeing the puppy we went out to eat. Here's the most awesome trio of teenagers!

And the other side of the booth. :)

What a darling little puppy! Lola is a precious name.
And LOVE Karleigh Mei's response to not being big enough. We have a lot of that going on in our house too. And for Caleb ~ stuck at 30 pounds even for nearly six months now ~ I think he'll be in for the maximum time. Here in NC it is 80 pounds...

LOVE the booth pictures. Maybe even more than the puppy pictures. You guys just look like you're having a fun, relaxed time! But that puppy is oh too cute!!

Love the names! Especially Lola. We named the GPS unit we borrowed last week while visiting Texas "Lola"--we just had watched the movie RV with Robin Williams and that happened to be the name of the GPS unit in the movie. Anyway, it was SO cute the way Nolan would say, "Thank you Lola" after she would chime in with the new set of directions!
I look forward to seeing your puppy unfold and become a bundle of energy! What a blessing to meet her at such a young age! And also to find out the FINAL name :-)

I got Matti a booster w/back then I was uncomfortable cause it just sits in the seat nothing holds it in? so I got her a car seat booster combo so I can strap the seat in and I can use it as a booster with the seatbelt or if I want the 5 point harness buts its always straped in. As you know Matti is about 10' tall

Your puppy is adorable!

And I know what you mean about the car seats! Do you know that they actually recommend that a child weigh 80 pounds before they are big enough for no booster seat?! Our son is 11 and is very tall, but thin. He weighs 74 pounds. I think that Karleigh Mei and Grace will probably be about 18 before they weigh 80 pounds! lol! (By the way, we don't make Adam use a booster. I'm pretty sure that the height is the main thing. But, there again, Karleigh Mei and Grace might be 15 before they reach the safest height requirements!).

Blessings,
Sarah

OK...those pics of your precious one trying to convince you that she is big enough are really cute. Her facial expressions are so cute.

Thanks for sharing

Oh, Lola is adorable!! Ginger? Ruby?

A puppy in the house will bring it to a "whole 'nother level". I have to say, now that the first year is over, I am so thankful we have her (though, I did read in a magazine the other day that is costs an average of $1600.0 a year to keep & maintain a dog!) - HEY! That's my summer vacation!!

Well, it WAS. Now, we have Sophie.

But the kids are thrilled :)
