Happy 5th Birthday Karleigh Mei!

What a wonderful day November 2, 2005 was! It was the day that our Karleigh Mei Qian Qian (pronounced "Chin Chin") was born!

This is the earliest picture we have of her, when she was 10 days old. Oh how I would loved to have kissed on those sweet cheeks of hers! Such a beautifully, perfect baby she was!

{And for those that do not know, this picture was Karleigh Mei's finding ad. ALL babies/children are left to be found, without a trace to their parents. This is for the safety of her parents. They would face heavy fines/imprisonment if they were found to have had a child without permission. She was placed at a time and place that she would be found quickly. She was also found with bottles, formula, diapers, and money. Her immediate needs would have been taken care of. Because of this, I know that her birth mother/father loved her, and were faced with an unimaginable decision. I cannot thank them enough for her life. I know that they treasured her life also, and I pray that the Lord is somehow able to let them know that she is well. I also pray that they will come to know Him, so that someday we will all be reunited as one family! This picture was placed in the newspaper, with a page that FILLED the page with pictures of children who had been found.}

Our sweet girl turned 3 a month before we were able to go and get her. We sent her a birthday cake for her to celebrate with her friends. 

It took everything in me to not go and get her RIGHT then when we were sent these pictures of her celebrating that day.

Last year was her FIRST birthday at home! She was soooooooo excited!!

This is the precious face of a darling child celebrating her birthday with a family who loves and adores her. Not an orphan this birthday. Can you see the difference??

She couldn't stop telling me, "Thank you, thank you, Mommy!". 

And she was excited and thrilled with each and every gift.

Especially her bike! This was when she first saw it!

Oh my Karleigh Mei Qian Qian, I love you so very much!!! What a blessing and a delight you are to our family! We can't imagine life without you!! I cannot wait to see who the Lord has planned for you to be. He most definitely has His hand upon you.
