Bloggy Question

Quick question for my fellow bloggies. :) I'm trying to upload a new header and it gives me this error message:

We're sorry, but you have exceeded your photo upload quota.

It then takes me to where I can buy additional space. Has anyone done this? And was it enough space? Love to hear anyone else's experience! Thanks!

I did until I figured out that I could just pull photos from my flickr site. I think you can do this with blogger too. doesn't have to be flicker; can be photobucket or other photo sites.

Basically, when you upload a photo to your blog blogger is storing it. But when you just link to a photo in html editor mode, the photo is still being stored at the other site. Plus, then people can't click on your photos.

Does this make any sense??? Email me if you want! And you should be able to upload your blog header as a jpg to flicker and link to it as well.

Yes I had to do this about a year ago and I haven't had any trouble since. I think it was only about $10 but honestly I don't remember.

Oh Jenn, I was there only a couple of weeks ago!
I couldn't believe it. There's a limit? Hmmm. Anyway, I checked into having a book made of all my past posts and then perhaps deleting my past photos and such ... but that seemed like a lot of work--and a bit of change. So, I bought myself some more time and shelled out the additional $5 bucks for a little bit extra storage as I consider my options. One of my friends suggested that I post the photos directly to Picasa and then link from there so I'm not using so much space ... but hmmm ... my connection is so slow as it is one more step seemed too painful. SORRY!! Quite honestly I think they must have downsized the available photo storage size from original limits ... not sure. Let me know if you learn more--otherwise ... maybe see if deleting a past post allows you to post your header?? (I had my problems right around when I posted the ND Tea Party Chip-In and I thought it was the Chip-In that was to blame ...) I wish blogger had a better way of tracking available space and how to manage it.

Hugs,
Valerie
P.S. Hope your little one's adoption is coming along quickly and smoothly! I thought of you this week as I sent off my baby-baby girl things to ND and let go of that Hope ... or should I say "Gave it over"--so beautiful that you've gotten to raise your sweetie from the first days! Truly a blessing and SO sweet!

Isn't this when you have to go .com?
