Karl's grandmother, "Nonnie" passed away a week ago today, on Friday, April 17th. Though we were sadden to hear of her passing, we were also rejoicing in knowing that she was in the presence of Jesus!! And I'm sure she was looking for Eve to have a word or two said to! Ha ha!
This is a picture of Karleigh Mei and Nonnie at Christmas. Nonnie was so sweet and so excited when we told her about us adopting Karleigh Mei. When she looked at her, she would just say, "What a joy and a blessing she is!". You are so very right Nonnie!! We look forward to the day when we can be with you again!
The funeral was on Wednesday, April 22. It was beautiful and so many friends and family came! I couldn't resist and took a picture of their old home. This is where Karl spent MANY wonderful summers and had lots of good meals! My kids had a meal or two in that house too!
With all the family together, I couldn't resist taking a pic of the older girl cousins. Aren't they beautiful!! I need to find a picture of them when they were just little tots and compare. Such lovely young women they are becoming!! These girls represent each of the families. There are 17--going on 18 grandkids!!
