Uganda and a Wedding!

I was looking at my super full calendar today...and realized that I have exactly 1 month and 2 months to prepare for two BIG things that are going on in my life....or well things that are happening to two of my favorite girls. :)

On May 27th my middle daughter, Lexie, is going on a mission trip to Uganda with this special family. She is MORE than excited about going and loving on orphans and telling and SHOWING people the love of Jesus. I took her last week to get all her shots and medications that she needs. Our prayer for our children is simply that they will serve the Lord in whatever they do and that they will listen to His voice when He calls and be obedient to Him. It is NOT an easy thing to do to let your daughter go off to AFRICA. Not easy at all. In fact, I can feel a panic attack coming on me as I type. But the Lord is leading...and we must follow. I put my complete trust in Him alone. My Lexie is His and I put her in His hands. Please join with me in praying for her and for all that are going on this trip--that the Lord will be glorified in all that they do!!

Sigh...

And, 2 months from today, on June 27th, my oldest baby, Katie, will be getting married!!!! Wow!! Where has the time gone!!!? We are so blessed by her and her fiance and we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for them next!

Here is a picture of Katie and her fiance, Blake.

I love my kids and I could not be more proud of them!! Watching my girls following Jesus in whatever, however, and wherever He leads them is a true blessing.

Sigh...

Jen, I am praying for Lexie! But be forewarned...this will change her life! Not that it needs changing in every way of course! But we have taken several students with us to Africa {South Africa} and it is a beautiful eye opener! They have each gone as precious young ladies who love the Lord and come home with a different perspective but a deeper love for Christ as well. She will do great! And God will be so tangible to her there. Can't explain it really.

Hang on, friend! You are in for a busy 2 months! Will be praying for you too!

Hugs~

Yes I am having a panic attack for you. Good thing God's in control and not us or we would not let our kids do anything. Do they know what part of Uganda they will be visiting?

How sweet all your beautiful girls are! I will be praying. I know God will take care of Lexie and bless her mission trip.

I will be praying for you. I know as a mom it's a hard thing to have your precious girl so far away. But we know she is in excellent Hands!

And congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I can cry just thinking about the day when my daughters get married. What a blessed event!
