My oldest daughter, Katie, is getting married in less than 3 weeks! I'm still having a hard time believing it. I just know that when I turn around to see Karl walking Katie down that aisle I'm going to lose it. We have our children for SUCH a short time. They grow up so very fast. I always remember my great-grandmother, Bess Winslett, telling me that we wouldn't want it any other way though! So true!
This past weekend Katie was given a beautiful bridal shower by a dear friend of mine, Stephanie. It was beautiful and we were all blessed by it!! Thank you Stephanie!! I was not good at taking pictures, but I did snap this one I thought was sweet. I love little girls and seeing their delight in all things "Bride". Don't all little girls dream of becoming one some day? :)
While us girls (minus my darling girl Lexie who is still in Africa..sniffle) enjoyed our morning of bridal "stuff", my boys were out of town racing in a Soap Box derby race. They had too much fun and it made for a great guy weekend!
Garrison and his car...(he placed 6th)...way to go Garrison! Don't you love his slick looking car?!
Gannon and his car...(he placed 4th) in the white car. Gannon actually didn't plan on racing, but there happened to be a filler car that he was able to race. Placing 4th in a filler car is not too shabby!! :)
