Lifebook

**I used two different digital scrapbook kits for my lifebook. Click on --> Spring Blossom and --> Bright Jade

Last week I finally made the decision that I needed to finish Karleigh Mei's Lifebook (and Shutterfly* was having a sale!). I could have dragged it on and on with the fear that I'd leave something important out, but I decided that it was more important for her to HAVE one than for me to always be working on one. :)

I got it yesterday and I am so happy with it! The quality of the book is nicer than I thought it would be...nice thick pages! And Karleigh Mei is delighted at seeing all the pictures of her in it!

Here is a sample of the book:

~The cover. I put my little ladybug on top of our last name. :)
~Pages about her orphanage.
~The referral!
~In China!
~Bible verse on the back cover.
I did my pages using digital scrapbooking. Most of the pages were "quick pages" where all I had to do was just "slip" in my pictures and add any text.

You inspire me! I have photo albums for each of my kids from our travel to meet them, but have yet to actually compose a lifebook. We talk about adoption, orphanages, foster parents, and even birth parents frequently, but I need to get it into print!

It looks great! Funny, I was going to email you about this today and see if you had finished. I have got to start Thomas' book and just can't get my head around it. What digital scrapbooking site did you use?

Beautiful!! I'm working on Grace's book, but the going is slow. You're motivating me to get going!

This looks so GOOD!!! I did something similar for Ruthie but your pages have a lot more character to them? Did you use a program other than the one Shutterfly provides? I would love to hear about it.

I also scrapbook the old fashioned way, but these shutterfly books look so good it is hard to keep going with all the scissors and glue.

BEAUTIFULLY DONE! I'm sure it will be a treasure that Karleigh will enjoy her whole life through. You should print two... one for a 'keepsake' and one she can look at over, and over, and over again!! :)

Tanya

I love it! I just used Shutterfly to do a book for Sophie entitled "God's Little Miracle: The Miracle of You." It's just a simple book that highlights just how we always knew God had a plan for Sophie and that plan included us. I'd love to see your completed book and share mine with you. I think we can do that through Shutterfly. I have a start on Sophie's Lifebook but never really finished it either. I LOVE the results of Shutterfly's books.

Jenn,

I love it! I really need to do one for Teddi . . . had no idea where to start . . . and now I do! I had just been talking about lifebooks to my sister the night before you posted this. Thanks so much.

I just came back to look again and see that you added the digital scrapbooking info, so I just checked that out. I'm still kind of lost as far as how it all works, but I think I can figure out. If not, I know you aren't too far away! You may hear me calling your name! :)

Great job!

Blessings~

Oh, I gotta do this. I really need to do this.

Did you use photoshop elements?

And you are so blessed and so is KM to have those photos from her past. We don't have many. The ones we do have stop at 12 months … so nothing from 12 months to 35 months except the three referral photos. *tears*

I bet KM loves to look at it. Does she though? Now, I'm wondering or have you shown her? I'd love to hear more about her reaction if you feel open to sharing.
