Hello World!

Hello All! Guess who...it's Lexie! 

Surprise, surprise! 

As my moms blog manager (my self given title:), I keep telling my mom she needs to post! But alas, there is this 4 week old baby that has just stolen all her blogging time! 

{enough said}

So, I feel the need to update. 

Speaking of that cutie 4 week old. 

Oh my gosh, y'all! 

She captured all of our hearts at hello. At any given moment during the day, you will likely find at least one person, if not the whole family standing around her bassinet just staring at her. She makes the cutest little faces...we all just oooh and aww!

Random facts {bullet style} about our baby that I don't ever want to forget:

-When swaddled, we call her our little burrito. 

-When she stretches, she sticks out her little tongue and arches her back...it's so cute. 

-She has a strong little neck! 

-She is still tiny...but every day she seems a bit chunkier! She is still in NB clothes...and I am so ready for her to bust out of those. Because if you've noticed...there aren't many cute NB clothes out there! Just a lot of onsies. 

-She loves her Wubbanub. Its this paci that is attached to a little stuffed caterpillar. It is good for her, because the weight of it keeps it in her little mouth a bit better. 

-She is a lil snuggler. 

-She has an outie belly button :) 

-She has a "receding hairline"...but I know soon it will grow into a head full of brown hair before long! And big sister, Katie, made her some headbands {go check out her site--she has some sweet new styles!} for her. Sooo cute. 

-She is a pretty good eater, but sometimes quite messy! Her little neck rolls collect milk :) 

-Karleigh Mei is a good big helper! She loves her, and gives her lots of kisses. 


-When she is sleeping she'll make these little faces like she is having a bad dream. I'm guessing she is dreaming about being hungry, or having a poopy diaper. Because thats about the worst thing that can happen when your four weeks old! 


There is probably a zillion more things I could say, but I'll save you from boredom.  I really, really wish I could post some pictures of her! Argh. But we must respect her privacy, as she is not legally ours. Speaking of which, her case is very complicated. As much as we would love to spend the rest of our days with her, you just never know. 


So for now, we just love her, love her, love her to pieces! We cherish every day with this precious little gift. 


It has been quite the change having a baby in the house. We were not expecting a baby when we began foster care. What a surprise! But we feel so, so blessed that God sent her to our family. 


We are having so.much.fun loving this girl!
