***Pictures taken BEFORE her surgery***
I was able to listen to a wonderful 'webinar' given by Sherrie Eldridge, hosted by Journey To Me. Sherrie has several books out for adopted parents and for adoptees (she was adopted herself). Her newest book is set to release on October 27--"20 Things Adoptive Parents Need To Succeed". I've already pre-ordered mine! I also ordered a couple of her other books, and am looking forward to getting them and reading them.
In the webinar, Sherrie quoted from a book "Parenting From Inside Out". I LOVED what she read and wanted to share it.
"Parents are the active sculptures of the children's growing brains. The immature brain of a child is so sensitive to social experiences that adoptive parents should also, in fact, be called the biological parents, because the family experiences they create shape the biological structure of their child's brain. Being a birth parent is only one way parents biologically shape their children's brains."
I love, love, LOVE that!!!
Not only is this girl the princess of THE King, she is also my darling girl!!

Wow thats good stuff. Let me know if the rest of the book is worth it cause I have bought a lot of adoption books that are are quite frankly not worth the tree to make it.
I LOVE that, too! I'm looking forward to checking out her links. Sounds like a great resource! :)
And she is adorable in her Cinderella dress... a true princess, indeed!!
