"Mine is the Night", by Liz Curtis Higgs, was an excellent conclusion to her first book in this series, "Here Burns My Candle". And be sure NOT to read this book until you have read the book, "Here Burns My Candle", first!
Very few authors can transport me back in time and place like Higgs was able to in both of these books. As soon as I'd start reading, I felt like I was swept away to 1746 in Scotland, and felt as if I was right there with the Kerr widows! I loved, loved, LOVED the transformation of the characters, and how they trusted in the Lord! Very few books do I want to read again, but so much transforming went on in the characters, that I am wanting to reread the first book! I highly recommend this book! The only disappointment I felt was when I finished it!
Thank you to WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for sending this book to me, free of charge, for this review!
