Easter Sunday

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday at home this year. I fixed a prime rib roast {the YUMMIEST!} for our meal and Karl's parents were able to come and spend the day with us. 

But the first thing that was on Karleigh Mei's mind when she woke, was the egg hunt that was to be had! 

After finding all of the "easy" eggs, Karleigh Mei depended on her daddy to help spy some more. I love these following pictures!

Though not the most flattering pic of my boys :) I had to share at least one of them. Yes, they too were out hunting eggs--and racing to be the first to the ones put out for them. I found these eggs last year and they are great for them. They are natural colors and so a bit harder to spy! 

Karleigh Mei was also super excited about going to church in her new beautiful dress! This girl LOVES beautiful clothes! And her shoes, she was SOOOO proud of! They were "high-heeled"! :)




Karl's parents brought the cutest cake that was made by a dear friend. How sweet is this?? I'm going to have to find a lamb cake mold and make this a new tradition for Easter! 


And just for extra fun, Karl's sister, Jennie, is having MANY of her songs that she's written and co-written with others being recorded and released now {by Rebekah St. James, Newsong, Matt Papa, Selah, Tricia Brock...to name a few}. The first song I have playing, "It Is Finished", is one that she wrote with Matt Papa.
