I can hardly believe that it's ONLY been three years since "we-first-saw-your-face", Karleigh Mei!! I'll never forget that day! We were eagerly anticipating your referral!!
And the first pictures we saw of you, just melted this mama's heart. I remember thinking you had the cutest little lips I'd ever seen. And it's still true! You still have the cutest little lips!
I just wanted to jump in these pictures and grab you!!
And later, we were blessed with receiving this picture taken THE DAY of your referral! The Lord is so good to delight us in little gifts like this!

i never thought it would be so hard for me to see those pics of KM! to me she is Karliegh Mei, full of smiles and skips and ava's little classmate, a sister and daughter and LOVED so much, while i of course knew her story, to see her little face in that setting, it just seems as out of place as if i substituted ava in those same photos. i am so thankful for God's provision in her life! the photos of her at the beach, smiling, and hair blowing in the wind. to me that's KM! of course our girls' pasts are a part of their story but i am so thankful for the gentleness and peace He has given them in families now. :)

As I read that I could hear Karl (in my mind) singing that oldie "and then I saw her face...now I'm a believer...". And dancing for Karleigh Mei. :-)
