Today it has been 85 days that we have been waiting for RA.
I thought I'd share a little bit about what we know about our darling little Karoline...my sweet little "QianQian"--the "Q" is pronounced with a "Ch" as in "Cheek". Her name is Qian, but they call her "QianQian". Her Chinese name is actually quite similar to MY name...Jenn! Cool huh? You think her Daddy will confuse her when he calls me?? Maybe that will help with the bonding??? And eventually, do you think I will confuse her when I call her daddy (Karl/Karliegh)? How cool that we will all share such similar names! Isn't God so good!?
Okay...this is what it says in her paperwork:
"QianQian loves beauty and wearing beautiful clothes and shoes."
Yippee!!! One more excuse to be buying her beautiful clothes and shoes!! :o)
This is what we bought her the day after we read this:
I'll share more about our darling girl tomorrow. I'm hoping this will help pass the time.

okay - that almost made me cry. how beautiful it will be for her to read her mommy's journal one day and see that you immediately connected with what you've been told she loves and so you went and bought the most adorable, glittery pink shoes... that is exactly how God loves - lavishly, joyfully, expectantly!
Libby has the silver ones! Love those shoes! - -Love, Cindy
We have the red ones! Don't you love the information about their little personalities? We found out that Caleb's favorite toys are balls and that his favorite activity is playing with balls. Can you guess what we will have stuck into every spare spot in the suitcases?
We pray daily for those waiting! Hang in there!
hehe! we have the red AND silver sparkly shoes...and they are a hit! didn't know there was pink. :) shhh. don't tell my girls!
I love how you love her! can't wait to see you get to demonstrate that love to her.
She more conformation about how God makes us all fit together. Blood has nothing to do with it. It's all because of Him.
Exactly something that Lindy would've picked for her!
Keep the faith, Jenn!

Lisa
My 13 year old daughter (from JiangXi Province) went by the name QianQian in her foster family! (Her full Chinese name was Fu Wei Qian.)
There is a Chinese legend about a beautiful young rural girl named Xiao Qian...I think that the name QianQian hails back to this tragic legend.
Oh...and when you get to China, you will have to invest in some of the SQUEAKY shoes that they sell. I would suggest you buy a variety of sizes because she will probably want to wear them long after her feet have outgrown them.
(They are shoes that squeak (like a squeaky toy) each time she puts her foot down to walk...really noisy, but my child found them utterly delightful!!!)
