Looking at Mow (Chinese for "Kitty Cat")

Finally!!! What we have all been waiting for!!
Here is what they have to say and of course some pictures of our girl:
This is a poem that Katie wrote and I think is very appropriate for this day:
An Orphan No More
Written in love by Jie Jie Katie
You are an orphan no more
Sweet child full of grace
with desperate pleas your
mother cried that you would find a place
A place where you could grow
a place where you could sing
a place where you could dance the dance
that life continuously brings
With each step she took she faltered
with each loving glance she winced
no more to be her child
no more from that moment since
On that humble step she laid you
with such care I've never seen
a baby girl you were hers
clothes, food and a basket to keep clean
When she turned away were there
tears she wept or simply a mothers prayer?
Did she linger hidden or did she run
in sorrow and in fear?
Our hearts are open; our arms held wide
for you are now our own
God has placed you in our life
God has given you a home.
For it's only by his grace and love
that we ever find our way
Life's journey never seems to end
with each new passing day.
While your mother could only dream of the life God had planned for you
You sweet baby have made it home
all your dreams have now come true.
Sorry...these are totally out of order...

WOOHOO!!! Been waiting for so long to see these pics! Still praying and trusting! God is good!!!
Oh, she is beautiful!! This was the best way to start the week. Praying for her adjustment this week. Hope you all got some sleep. God is so good.
Woo Hoo! What an Awesome Day! Karleigh Mei is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us so quickly. The poem is just beautiful. Can't wait to see more. She looks so sweet in her coat that you guys sent her. You must be over the moon :)
Jenn & Karl (and family)~It is so wonderful to see these long-awaited pictures. She's awesome! It does break my heart to remember and think of the sadness and confusion this part of the journey causes for these sweet children. I pray Karleigh Mei will show more and more trust and that she'll warm up to you with greater ease and show that to you. I pray God will give you the wisdom to know how to approach this and help her not be so stubborn. Time does heal...
Congratulations. I know you're in love. By the way, Katie's poem is just beautiful.
Love,

OK, I admit it! I scrolled straight down to the pics!!! LOL! I will go back and read the post though. SHe looks JUST LIKE her referral pics except a little older! Wow! jenn I am so happy for you and your family! Does she have Karl wrapped around her fingers yet??? And how about you??? I think I saw a sucker in her mouth? Yep, Miss S has "taken to spoiling very well" her Grammy says and I know Karleigh Mei will too! What a special Christmas yours will be too! Oh, I am getting all weepy and chilled!
Sending you lots of hugs across the ocean!!! CONGRATULATIONS MOMMY OF FIVE!
Jenn and Karl - Karleigh Mei is just precious. I am enjoying following your journey - and your family is just precious. The poem is just amazing, and we will continue to pray for a smooth transition for Karleigh Mei in this confusing, but wonderful time in her and your life.
Oh, isn't she a cutie! I love too that they did indeed dress her in her sassy jeans and special coat from Mommy! I recognize them from your post a few weeks back - so fun! She is truly adorable. I will be praying for her heart as she makes this very large transition. Doug and I have spoken often about how we'll never understand and know the true fear and sadness that our children have as they are birthed into our families. It is a pure moment of joy for us as we have been preparing our hearts for so long, however, to these beautiful children, though it is a blessing and someday they will know that, they just don't understand and I cannot imagine the sensory overload of new smells, sounds, sights, and even attention.
Our Lord will seal that trust in you with time and soon, Karleigh Mei will be bouncing about, giggly and from what I read (and know of her friend, Maliah) ... into everything in sight!
She's YOURS! Now, just love on her in her timing and enjoy every moment as she begins to blossom! SO relieved to see you together at last!
Congratulations! Karleigh Mei is just beautiful! Prayers coming your way that she'll soon feel comfortable and ready to take off her coat and "stay awhile"!
I just loved Katie's poem.
Pam
Oh she is so beautiful!!! Congratulations!!! I am so thrilled for all of you that Karleigh Mei has her mommy and daddy!!! I'm still praying for all of you and for Karleigh's adjustment. Its hard with such a strong will, it sounds a lot like Sarah was at first; in China, Sarah bonded to me and didn't want mommy or daddy, but once we got home, she has definitely become a mommy's girl! :)

This is the day the Lord has made, I will REJOICE and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
We are rejoicing with your family in the beautiful gift of Karleigh Mei! God is so good, and we are so thankful that she is in your arms! We have been praying as a family for her and will continue to pray that God brings peace to her little heart and mind. Praying He gives you wisdom as you comfort and help her.
What a wonderful day it is! Praying for sweet rest for each of you.
Thanks for sharing this special day with each of us!
sending you love
Sarah and family
Wow! Life has changed! The world has changed! I am so happy for y'all!
Congrats, jenn!! can't wait to meet her!!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. She is just beautiful! Love the poem; it is very sweet. You know her stubborn streak is what kept her going in China while she waited for her BaBa and MaMa. She is very brave. Praying for you all.
Hugs,
Robin
first thing I did this AM was to check to see if there were pics!! yay!
praying for you guys -and for sweet Karleigh Mei as she adjusts and transitions into your family.
Congratulations!!!! Somehow, Jenn - she looks like you. So beautiful. There is something that just fits, ya know? Glory to God. We are so excited for you. Libby has been incredibly stubborn this week. Since Karleigh Mei is 3 like Libby - I know prayer is much needed at this incredibly confusing time for her. May God's grace abound. Blessings and Love!

Wooo Whee How exciting. I just love those Sassy Girls. And looking at that picture with her by the door she gots lots of SAS.:)
YYYYEEAAHHHHH!!! Tears of joy seeing pretty princess with her mama & baba!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!!!!!!
Sweet precious Karleigh Mei, oh happy day!!! Congratulations again to all of you. We are so happy for you.
Jenn and Karl, praying that each moment God will give you wisdom as you "unwrap" this precious gift, and she lets you in. Praying that God will hold Karleigh Mei close as she makes this huge step in her life . . . so hard to move forward to the unknown . . . . to "take off the coat" . . . praying that she will know quickly that you are her safe place. May the Lord give you His peace and be your Completer in the days ahead, as you learn about who your sweet girl is.
Love, love, love the pictures. So sweet in her coat you sent! Do you think it might be the first time she's worn it? She has to be very proud of it--one more reason she might not want to take it off. So happy to know that she ate for you and that you got smiles and laughs, and she's repeating words. That is wonderful!
Katie, your poem is precious. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. Lexie, thank you for keeping us all up to date. . . I bet that "I'm a big sister smile" hasn't left your face yet!! Isn't it great? God is so good!!
Celebrating with you in SA!
Sending blessings to China! Karleigh Mei is an orphan no more!!!
Love,
Tina and Bryan and family
OH Jenn! I was up at 5am this morning waiting on these!! SHe is so beautiful and I can't wait to see and hear about her transformation over the coming days! Can';t wait to hear all about it!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!!
Congratulations! What a blessing to finally see her with you! And, in her coat and jeans too! Clearly her caregivers loved her, and took pride in dressing her for your special day! Last year we traveled with friends who picked up their 4 year old boy. Like Karleigh, Sam was ready to leave the room.... With patience we watched his new parents love him through his fear... It was amazing to watch the bond that quickly formed while in China. I know that with God's guidance you will know how to love Karleigh exactly where she is each day! She is truly a blessing. Katie's poem is so beautiful! Karleigh has so much to look forward to in your family!
Blessings, and praying for you as you move forward together! An orphan no more! Amen!
-Diana

She is absolutely precious!! Here's praying for a great adjustment time!
Congratulations! I know it is hard to see her ready to take her stuff and leave, but remember that means she has known love and will make it better in the long run! I'm excited to see and read more!!!
Jenn-
She is absolutely adorable. Love the picture of her eating noodles like a little bird. Food was one of our ways to warm up to Abby Grace too. Hope she got more comfortable this evening and finally took her coat off:) We'll keep you all in our prayers.
